altBlackpool has a dedicated team of volunteer contributors who are always on the look out for pockets of creativity and culture from across the Fylde Coast, just itching to discover another hidden gem to share. We’re always on the look out for new contributors to join the team in a variety of roles so read on to find out more.

As a member of the team you’ll get the chance to go behind the scenes with creatives in the area, head to the theatre to review shows or get up close with your favourite musicians. If you’ve got your own ideas for features for the site then even better, we’re always happy to hear about them.

If you’d be interested in writing for altBlackpool then all you need to do is submit a short sample of your work. Sample articles should be between 500 and 1,000 words and be written about an event you have recently attended, an album you have recently heard or a current events opinion piece. So what are you waiting for? Get writing and get in touch.

As well as being on the hunt for writers we’re always on the look out for talented photographers to showcase their work in photo feature articles. If you’d like to get involved as a photographer send us a selection of pictures you’ve taken at an event plus one or two short paragraphs of summarising the set and giving a taste of what it was all about to [email protected].
