Dear altBlackpool readers
You might have noticed over the past few months things have been quiet at altBlackpool and for that we are deeply sorry. As you may know, our team is made up entirely of volunteers who are committed to bringing you the best of arts and culture in Blackpool and across the Fylde Coast.
In the past six years since we set out on this adventure on 30 July 2012, we’ve published 1,776 articles and galleries on altBlackpool written by 70 volunteer contributors. At times it has been challenging but it has always been fun, and done as a result of our collective passion for our local cultural scene.
As in life, change is constant, and we’re planning a change. In Spring 2019 altBlackpool will be re-launching with a new outlook and approach. We will be setting out to bring you the number one guide to arts and culture in Blackpool and the Fylde Coast and we’re looking forward to the challenge.
In the meantime we hope you’ll bear with us while we make these behind the scenes changes and get ready for another six years of altBlackpool. If you want to be the first to know when we’re back you can sign up to receive emails from altBlackpool here and of course you can like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter @altblackpool.
If you want to be part of the team as a writer or photographer you can email us at [email protected], we’d love to hear from you.
Until Spring 2019.
