This evening saw the launch event for the exciting new elements in the Madame Tussauds experience this season.  AltBlackpool were among the crowds there for the big unveiling.

This isn’t a minor refresh of the experience, a large new extension on upper storage floors has brought a far greater range of activities for all the family.  The first of the two new elements is the Sporting Hero Academy.  Interactivity is the name of the game here, with football simulation and a climbing wall among the activities.

The big draw for most people in the added elements however is probably the Marvel Comic related strand.  This includes all the expected superheroes, among whom the Incredible Hulk was seen earlier in the week on the Prom whilst Spiderman and Thor also feature prominently.  There is also the opportunity to lift a car however strong or weak you really are.  Elsewhere a new Hall of Mirrors was too much for your correspondent who eventually had to follow someone else out after bumbling about for far too long.

The other floors are unsurprisingly bang up to date as well.  Among others you can see President Trump, an Alan Carr waxwork and a special feature narrated by the man himself on how it was put together and a festival area including Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and many more.

If you have been considering a trip to the waxworks with your family the bigger floor area and exciting new elements mean there has probably not been a better time.  For details on opening times and prices check out madametussauds.com/blackpool/en/.
